2022: quite a year
I have hardly had a moment to stop and think this intensive year, I heard it called ‘the year of rapids’. It has certainly felt like I was on one of those white water rafts, holding on tight half the time and enjoying the experience the other. Some of the many things...

A word from the wise
I was inspired this morning by these thoughts from Marcus Aurelius, one of the key thinkers of Stoicism and wanted to share them with you. Although from two millennia ago, the wisdom strikes me as deeply relevant for us today. 'Don't set your mind on things you don't...

What your home during lockdown says about you
As a professonal organiser and interior designer who’s also trained in psychotherapy, I’m often asked the same question: what do certain objects or styles of home living say about people? The simple answer is, there’s no simple answer. A particular object or style may...

Creating a mindful home working space
The key to effective home working is creating physical and psychological boundaries and ways to contain the different areas of your life. These are my top eight tips to doing this. I’ve spoken to quite a few people about working from home during the pandemic. There...

Now is a good time to clear out your wardrobe
Make the most of your lockdown and get your wardrobe in order; you will feel better for it and maybe that nag in your head can be quietened for a while! Your crushed clothes might thank you for it too! Now is an excellent time to sort out your closets and do a...
